Where is humanity headed to?
The world is facing new situations every day which, if approached correctly, generate a great opportunity for change for humanity. The changes are natural for human evolution, rather, they are necessary for this to happen. The changes we see are not limited to certain areas of our lives, instead we see them on a small and large scale. We can experience them on a day-to-day basis, or it can be an extended period of time where the world experiences setbacks, awakenings, and so on. All these changes have consequences and allow us to renew the world in which we live. For us as humans, great changes await us in our environment, our nature, our innovations (such as created technologies), our social pacts, and the globalization that the world is experiencing more and more every day.
It is clear that we as humans have become dependent on technology. After great periods of innovation, such as the industrial revolution, we have set ourselves a mission, to facilitate our lives through technology. As our world evolves, our needs begin to change. Every time there are new goals that we want to meet. In this period of time, we are experiencing something that will change the course of the rest of our existence, and that is known as artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence does not exist at the moment in its maximum form. In other words, there are several types of artificial intelligence with which we are going to experiment each one in its corresponding time. Artificial “consciousness” is not yet a reality, but we are getting there. This would come in a long period of time, it is not a reality that our generation will see. What we are experiencing is what is known as “machine learning”. This is a type of programming where technologies are programmed to learn by themselves. This is done in a similar way to a human being, by “trial and error.” Every day this technology is improving and we are closer to a future full of innovations where the day to day of human life will be facilitated.
The concept of globalization is one that has been around for hundreds of years. It was the first time that global connections were made thanks to trade. This resulted in an exchange of cultures, resources, and innovations. Today, thanks to the internet, the world is completely globalized in social terms. People can interact with people on the other side of the world and find out what is happening globally. Still, there are many things that keep the world from running as one, but they won’t last long. With this, we refer to the various currencies that exist globally, as there are many governments, and the cultural differences that exist. These cultural differences must be celebrated, and the fact that we are globalizing the entire world does not mean that they will cease to exist. At the moment, the biggest change we are seeing globally is currencies. With the invention of cryptocurrency, people around the world are putting aside the commercial limitations imposed by countries, generating an ease of use, and a great improvement to the world economy. It is very difficult today to make predictions of the other areas. There are those who say that in the future there will be no countries, no religions, no physical money, but these theories cannot be 100% proven. What is a reality is that every day we are closer to that happening.
